The all-in-one unit converter for students
This unit converter covers ten measurement categories in one place: length, mass, temperature, time, speed, area, volume, digital data, pressure and energy. Every conversion uses exact SI-based factors, so your homework, lab reports and exam answers stay accurate down to the smallest scale.
Common lab conversions
| Conversion | Rule | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Inch to cm | × 2.54 | 1 in = 2.54 cm |
| Kg to lb | × 2.2046 | 1 kg ≈ 2.2046 lb |
| Celsius to Kelvin | + 273.15 | 0 °C = 273.15 K |
| Mile to km | × 1.609 | 1 mi ≈ 1.609 km |
| km/h to m/s | ÷ 3.6 | 36 km/h = 10 m/s |
| Meter to nanometer | × 10⁹ | 1 m = 1e9 nm |
How to use it
Pick a category from the tabs, type a value in either the From or To box, and choose your units. The result updates live and the equation line shows the full conversion. Tap the swap button to flip the two units instantly.
What makes this converter accurate
All non-temperature units convert through a single SI base (metres, kilograms, seconds and so on), which avoids the compounding errors you get from chained approximate factors. Temperature is handled with the exact affine formulas, for example K = °C + 273.15 and °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Results show up to 8 significant figures and switch to scientific notation for very small or very large numbers.
