Attendance Planner
A free attendance planner that forecasts your final semester percentage. Enter what you've done so far and your upcoming classes — it shows exactly how many you must attend to reach 75% (or any goal), and whether that target is even possible.
How the Attendance Planner Works
Instead of only checking today's status, the planner projects your end-of-semester percentage using every class still to come:
From this it works backwards to find the minimum future classes you must attend — and flags the goal as impossible if even a perfect run falls short.
Planner vs Calculator — Which Do You Need?
Answers "right now" questions: What's my current %? How many classes can I bunk today? Best when you only care about your standing at this moment.
Answers "by the end" questions: If X classes remain, how many must I attend to reach my goal? Best for semester-long strategy and recovery planning.
Feasibility Example
Say you've attended 40 of 60 classes so far (66.7%) with 30 classes left — a 90-class semester. Here's what the planner projects:
| Goal | Future Classes Needed | Finish % | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| 65% | 19 / 30 | 65.6% | Comfortable |
| 70% | 23 / 30 | 70.0% | Tight |
| 75% | 28 / 30 | 75.6% | Tight |
| 80% | — | max 77.8% | Not Reachable |
| 85% | — | max 77.8% | Not Reachable |
Notice how 80%+ is already off the table with 30 classes left — that's exactly why planning early matters.
What You Can Do With It
Recover a shortage
Below your target? See the exact streak of upcoming classes needed to climb back into the safe zone before the final list.
Plan a trip
Subtract vacation days from your upcoming classes and confirm you'll still finish above 75% when you're back.
Reality check
If a target is mathematically out of reach, you'll know weeks early — enough time to act instead of panicking at the end.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does an attendance planner predict my final percentage?
It adds the classes you'll attend in future to your current attended count, then divides by the projected total (held so far + upcoming) × 100. That forecasts your end-of-semester %, not just today's status.
What's the difference between an attendance planner and an attendance calculator?
A calculator shows your current % and today's safe bunks. A planner looks ahead — it factors in remaining classes and tells you the minimum you must attend to hit your target by the final list.
What should I do if my goal shows "Not Reachable"?
It means even attending every remaining class can't lift you to that %. Lower the target to the maximum shown, or ask your faculty about medical/duty-leave condonation, which some colleges allow.
Can I plan around holidays or a trip?
Yes. Subtract the classes you'll miss from the upcoming figure, or check how many of the upcoming classes you can safely skip while still finishing above your goal.
Should I count labs and theory classes together?
If your college tracks them separately, plan each on its own — combining them can hide a shortage in one component inside a healthy overall average.
How early should I start planning my attendance?
As early as possible. With more classes left, recovery is easier because each attended class moves the total more. Waiting until the last weeks often makes a target impossible.
